Welcome to
The Hive!
Welcome to our kindergarten program! We know you probably have a million questions, so we've answered a few of the most common ones below.
Our Guiding Principles
At our kindergarten, every choice we make, from how we teach to how we organize the environment, is guided by the belief that children are whole, capable, and curious. Learning is not something we deliver, but something children actively build through exploration, relationships, and reflection.
Play is the foundation of learning. Through hands on activities, projects, and purposeful exploration, children develop problem solving skills, creativity, and confidence. Early literacy, math, and science skills are introduced intentionally as children grow, always connected to their interests and meaningful experiences.
Observation and reflection guide our teaching. We listen, watch, and respond to each child, supporting their learning in ways that match their strengths and curiosity. Children are invited to document and revisit their discoveries, which deepens understanding and pride in their work.
Our work is shaped by Christian values such as kindness, gratitude, compassion, and respect for others. Children are invited to notice the beauty of the world as Gods creation and reflect on these values through stories, conversation, and occasional prayer in ways that are age appropriate and non coercive.
In short, our philosophy is about trusting the child’s process and creating a nurturing environment where children feel safe connected and confident as they grow.
